Informatics and Healthcare Technologies

 

When I find myself asking my husband what his references are for a project, I know that I have professionally made it to the level of no longer being a novice. As an advanced practice nurse I have the foundational knowledge to communicate how evidenced based practice improves patient outcomes. I can successfully integrate technology into my trainings and presentations. I will develop others to embrace data and technology, and ultimately the change culture we work in.

Developing the "Triumph Over Cyberbullying" website was a topic that we did not realize would come to be so important for us all. Our group collaborated to develop a value added site for resources that impacted school nurses, children, and families. 

​

The drugs affecting coagulation game was created as a study tool instead of a study guide that you filled out on paper. The game was very successful in lightening the mood of pharmacology lectures, improving communication and collaboration, and ultimately just plain fun.
