Essential VIII:

Clinical Prevention and Population Health for Improving Health

When deciding how to meet the requirements for patient and family teaching opportunities I experienced just how much we can plan for things, but that does not always mean they will work out. This also allow me to be very creative in creating teaching opportunities.

I will always want to meet the needs of the patients, community, or employees that I serve. We do this by being prepared, having researched, and done our du-diligence. There will always be projects that we know very little about, and it is our responsibility to take ourselves to areas of our own vulnerability to create education that is valuable.

I felt the most frustrated and lost during our studies of our own healthcare system. The most frustrating was how disappointed I felt with the more knowledge I gained. I knew there is so much more as an active participant in my field and in society that I do not take place in. I expect everyone to fight those battles for me. I can assure you that I will be move active in local and state government. If want to provide my daughter with more exposure in how we can help out community, not just sit on the side lines.

The assignments I have shared below are some examples of how I gained more knowledge and will use my creativity to make a great impact.
